Wake and Letter

2017-01-20 Ryan Schram

Essentially the hand lettering journal. The project began as a quick morning exercise to kickstart creative and it shifted when I found myself jotting down stream of thought words and phrases throughout the day; many from tunes I dig.

such separate trips
heaven is whenever
new eyes open
slip away into the day
night terror
keep having dreams
computer again computer again
endless desires
crack me open
we are one
live wire
permission to take off
hold on tight to your fears
hell no
cowabunga
youth culture forever
i always think until i can't sleep
it's action
catch zs
monkey mind
extreme
let's all let go
exhausted grinding resent
its jaws! its awful grip!
let all be forgiven
victim!
ends where it begins
spat out spit
breakneck speed
rain on your parade
hold on for dear life
what do you do when doing what you love gets you nowhere?
disconnected
settings on default
such and such and such
pushing ruthlessly to the light
lacking energy
feeling tired
empty
center of the universe
no reason
only sleep
scrub that brackish line
i want to be a clone
what a fine way to spend my everydays
better get accustomed
crane your neck
disposable days
like buttermilk pancakes at sunday brunch
every hurdle, every chasm
like the dinosaurs pieced back together and laid to rest
let go your head
it just doesn't matter.
out and about
from the day that we're born to the day that we die, we keep on getting stuck with our feet in the muck
good glory of god and great wrath of god
heaven bent
lindy hop
sudden ruthless and hurriedly burning
wish real hard
suddenly wide awake
what doesn't last
scrambling for our lives
pow!
nope
sigh borg
scratching clawing going somewhere
assuming eternal supply
never what it seems
eat me
dehumanize
i heart excuses
crispy
over and over
letter b
more
coffee
meaningful coincidence
cause when our eyes close we're the same
rad
create
you are the apple
drip
so good you're gonna love it
poke out your eyes when you see something you don't like
dear god
starving for it
